Sarah’s Case Study*

Sarah's Story

It was a case of ‘right place, right time’ for Sarah’s coaching experience. A chance conversation between Sarah and Kate led to Sarah engaging in coaching which opened her eyes to her next steps.

MY CHALLENGE

“Executive coaching
helped me to rediscover
my strengths”

I’d reached a point in my career where I was going through a crisis of confidence. A bad experience with a colleague had left its mark and I was struggling to identify the things I was good at. Kate sent me some information about executive coaching. I was excited by what I read and we arranged an introductory conversation to chat through what was involved and what to expect.

THE COACHING

I came away from our first online coaching session feeling very positive. As our sessions progressed, Kate began to use a variety of tools and techniques to help me rediscover my strengths at work. We also focused on my health and personal life. I raised some wellbeing concerns with Kate, which she encouraged me to research. As I began to learn and understand, I felt more confident to manage my wellbeing and discuss it with my family. Kate also asked me what makes me happy outside of work. I shared that I’d always wanted to learn to paint. As a result, I’m beginning to make my lifelong ambition a reality.

WHAT THE CLIENT SAYS…

Coaching has opened my eyes to future possibilities. Kate’s experience gives her such insight, she gets right to the core of the issue and gets more out of you than you could ever imagine. She’s exceptional at what she does.

I loved the ‘Wheel of Life’ and the ‘Helping Hand’ exercises, which I often reference and reflect on.

By the end of our final session I knew what I had to do. I found the mental strength to leave my job and I’m very comfortable with my decision. I feel optimistic about my future career and what this looks like. Coaching is a liberating experience and helped me to find the peace and happiness I was searching for.
