The Association of Business Poets (AOBP) is a growing professional community bringing together poets.
For poets with business instincts who have a true engagement with poetry and understand it’s main benefits. A translator – a poet who can hear the business problem and be a conduit to the toolset that poetry brings, understanding that poetry is not one tool, but a swiss army knife. It can be applied in different ways to achieve business outcomes and know or want to know how to do that.
Creative leaders who want to bring their whole selves into the room, and anyone who knows that the most powerful thing you can offer an organisation is a different way of seeing. The world needs fewer bullet points – and more breakthroughs.
About the Association
The Association of Business Poets was founded by Dr Kate Jenkinson to champion the growing profession of business poetry. It exists to bring together poets, coaches, facilitators, consultants and organisational professionals who use poetry to inspire thinking, strengthen communication and create meaningful change in the workplace.
More than a membership organisation, the Association is a collaborative professional community where members can connect, learn and grow together. Through high-quality networking, facilitated peer learning, shared resources and collaborative opportunities, we support members in developing both their professional practice and their business.
A Professional Partnership
To underpin the highest standards of professionalism, the Association has partnered with the Universal Coaching alliance. This partnership provides members with access to a recognised professional framework, including a shared code of ethics, governance, professional recognition and an established escalation process, giving organisations and clients confidence in the quality and integrity of our members.
Membership
To ensure every new member receives a welcoming and supportive experience, we operate a cohort-based membership model rather than continuous enrolment. New members join in carefully planned intakes, allowing us to provide dedicated onboarding, coaching, networking and opportunities to build lasting professional relationships from the very beginning.
Our next membership intake opens on 1 October for 30 more members.
