The Association of Business Poets (AOBP) is a growing professional community bringing together poets, facilitators, coaches, leaders and organisations who believe in the power of poetry to transform the way we think, communicate and connect.
Our mission is to champion poetry as a meaningful tool in the workplace, demonstrating how creativity can enhance leadership, strengthen communication, support wellbeing and inspire innovation. Through collaboration, professional development and shared best practice, we are building a community that raises the profile and standards of business poetry as an emerging profession.
Whether members are creating bespoke poems for organisations, facilitating workshops, supporting conferences and events, or using poetry to encourage reflection and meaningful conversations, the Association provides a place to learn, collaborate and grow.

About the Association
The Association of Business Poets was founded by Dr Kate Jenkinson to champion the growing profession of business poetry. It exists to bring together poets, coaches, facilitators, consultants and organisational professionals who use poetry to inspire thinking, strengthen communication and create meaningful change in the workplace.
More than a membership organisation, the Association is a collaborative professional community where members can connect, learn and grow together. Through high-quality networking, facilitated peer learning, mini coaching groups, shared resources and collaborative opportunities, we support members in developing both their professional practice and their business.
A Professional Partnership
To underpin the highest standards of professionalism, the Association has partnered with the Association for Coaching. This partnership provides members with access to a recognised professional framework, including a shared code of ethics, governance, professional recognition and an established escalation process, giving organisations and clients confidence in the quality and integrity of our members.
Membership
To ensure every new member receives a welcoming and supportive experience, we operate a cohort-based membership model rather than continuous enrolment. New members join in carefully planned intakes, allowing us to provide dedicated onboarding, coaching, networking and opportunities to build lasting professional relationships from the very beginning.
